Rosenberger North America, in Pennsauken, New Jersey is looking for a highly energetic team player to join our Material/Maintenance department as a Maintenance Assistant.

The Maintenance Assistant position is responsible for working with the Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Team to ensure the building and facilities are in peak operating condition. These tasks may include cleaning, repair, and installation related duties.

This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:

• Use common cleaning tools and outdoor power equipment.
• Use chemicals, accordingly, following SDS safety instructions for proper use and storage.
• Cleans all exterior and interior windows, doors, and mirrors.
• Sweeps, mops, polishes, and vacuums floors.
• Cleans, sanitizes, and stocks restrooms.
• Maintains hot beverage areas by cleaning counter surfaces, sinks, and tables.
• Empties and cleans lunchroom refrigerators.
• Follows procedures for storage and disposal of trash and transports to designated areas.
• Set up, arrange, and move decorations, tables, chairs, ladders to prepare facilities for events such as employee events and company meetings.
• Completes minor repairs, such as switching lightbulbs, replacing signage, unclogging toilets, etc.
• Assists Maintenance Team with preventative maintenance as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

• Ability to handle minor repairs to properly repair interior building needs.
• Must have skills scraping, spackling, sanding, and painting.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and computers.
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• 1 year of maintenance experience, preferably in an industrial environment.
• Prior experience with hand and power tools.
• Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time, lift up to 50 pounds, and the ability to climb.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
